Dr Suthersan is an Australian trained Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in Foot and Ankle surgery. He has a special interest in Reconstructive, Arthroscopic and Trauma surgery.
After graduating from Sydney Boys High School, Dr Suthersan went on to complete his medical degree at the University of New South Wales. He completed his orthopaedic training in the Sydney Northside training program. During this time he also completed a Masters of Surgery, specialising in Orthopaedics.
Dr Suthersan completed his fellowship at the Allegheny clinic, Pittsburgh, USA. Here, he trained in complex foot and ankle surgery, with a focus on reconstructive and arthroscopic techniques. Pittsburgh is a world renowned medical city in the north east of America. The experience was an invaluable addition to Dr Suthersan’s training.
Further to his fellowship training, Dr Suthersan performed a travelling observership in some of Europe’s most prestigious hospitals. This includes the AMC hospital in Amsterdam, Holland; Basel University Hospital in Basel, Switzerland; and the FIFA Centre for Excellence in Madrid, Spain. Here he trained in the treatment of both elite and non-elite athletes.
Dr Suthersan enjoys cricket, fishing and Sundays at the park with his family.
